I am 27 years old and a manic depressive. I paint mostly pretty things to try and trick myself into thinking life is sunshine and roses. Except I hate roses. Give me a dandelion instead.

Sometimes life gets real, and I paint something darker. It saves me from myself.

Frustrated yet Inspired

::Reflections::
The exciting news is that I am really quite inspired these days to do some fun and exciting new art. I'm even in the process of writing a book!

But with all of this inspiration comes frustration as well. Right now, the things that are annoying me include:

* My scanner not working properly with my new computer (even though they're both HP)
* My digital camera taking movies in .mov rather than .avi or .mpg
* Running out of art supplies and not having any money to buy more
* Not enough hours in the day to do the things I want
* A bout of depression which is kicking my butt
* Too many ideas and not enough time to draw/paint/write/photograph them all.
* Knowing I need to update my website but feeling overwhelmed
* Not doing enough to try and sell my art.

I guess I know that you can't be happy and excited all the time... but even so, it'd be nice to feel better and have some money!!

I really want to go back to the US for Christmas. I haven't been home for the holiday since 2000!!! But I don't think I'll have enough money. Grrrrr. But I guess I have time still. Let's hope!
